"I assumed I hadn't left any
stone unturned in the quest for learning how to write a saleable
short story. How wrong could I be? Chapter two immediately enlightened
me with new and important information all of which I hadn't
come across before.
Each page brings you closer to an understanding of where you
have made mistakes and how to avoid them in the future. The
author builds a relationship by means of talking to the reader
personally as if saying 'I really do want you to succeed, come
on you can do it.' His sense of humour gives the book a lighthearted
feel, and unlike a lot of highly informative books is a joy
to read.
If you discover your questions are still unanswered on the craft
of creative writing, then add this excellent book to your reference
shelf - it's brilliant. When I embark on my next short story,
I will do so from a new perspective and certainly with a lot
more confidence. "

Cynic that I am, I approached Drew
McAdam's book with a large dose of scepticism. But what a
surprise I received!
In the past, I have had a couple of stories
published, but have accumulated dozens of rejections. Now
I see very clearly where I have been going wrong. My successes
were due more to luck than judgement.
What an eye-opener this book is
.I'll
let you know how I get on.

As a professional writer, I thought I
knew it all, but The Secrets of Writing Successful Short Stories
contains material that is truly original and was brand new
to me
.Which graphically proves that nobody knows it
all
.My compliments to Mr McAdam.

I can't thank you enough. Thanks
to your book, I have just had my first short story accepted
for publication
and I downloaded the book only six weeks
ago! My first selfish reaction is that I think it would be
better if you don't sell any more, so that I can clean up!

.The editor complimented me not
only on the story content, but also on how well I had written
the material especially for her publication. She told me that
no editing had been necessary
.and she has asked for
more of the same. I don't think you can get a better compliment
than that for your book.

I am a widow and retired nurse with
a lot of time on my hands
.My hospital work gave me a
pretty good insight into peoples' personalities and how they
react to given circumstances
.While I've always wanted
to capitalise on all this experience, I had no idea how to
put it into words until I read The Secrets of Writing Successful
Short Stories.
I don't imagine I will make a fortune
from my writing, but I'm having fun trying
.thanks to
you.

.It was like somebody shining a
light into darkened room. Suddenly, after all these years
of trial and error - and mostly error - I realized where I
had been going wrong. If nothing else, your book has given
me great inspiration. Please give Drew McAdam my compliments
and warmest thanks.
